ok so I just passed smog and gonna register it up in the mountains....I just picked p a free z6 head and p28 ecu....I was wondering what year cam gear from aem do I need to get 88-91,92-95,96-00????also is it worth converting to obd1 or can I just stay with obd0 and sell the ecu???curious if it makes a diff cause I know there someone on here that can reprogram obd0 ecu for vtec using the A/C memory....

 

someone correct me if im wrong, but all sohc d series engines have the same cam gears. if you want to take a precationary method order the 92-95 becasue thats what year the head is. and imo go obd1 it seams alot easier, rywire offers a complete changeover, good luck with it

 

ya cam gears never changed just the lenght of the timing belts. go obd1 much better than obdo plus vtec would run prefect.

 

aight thanks mates...just asked cause thought I read somewhere about getting the right adjustable cam gear for the head even though like you guys I thought they were all the same.
