my 00EX coupe
my intro thred,mods move if its in wrong spot
well I have had this car for about 1.5 years now and it has come a long way. I snaged the car up for 5500 and it had an intake and a catback and the wheels on it.
I have added a few good mods to it.
ENGINE:
intake,heatwraped meagn header,greddy sp2 catback,AEM camgear,unorthodox crank pulley, ac and PS have been removed, NGK plugs and wires,b&m fule pressure regulator and gauge, anew timing belt and water pump just went on the car.(111k miles)
Suspension & Brakes:
well the car sits on 16" rota c8's(mugen knock offs)with kumho 712's 205/40/16. I have converted the rear to disk brakes and I have bremebo blanks and hawk HPS pads siting here waiting to be installed on all 4 corners but the stock stuff is still great. I have droped the car on eibach sport springs and uses tockico ble socks, omni power LCA's are in the rear along with ES trailing arm bushings, a megan camber and toe kit is in the rear too. I have fabricated my own trunk H brace using tubing from lowes and I aloso have a megan front H brace, ES motor mounts are in, as well as ES shift kit and b&m short shifter. I plan on making up some strut tower bars as well in the near future. I have utted out the trunk and all of the detening and painted it black.
the I.C.E:
ok well im not too into ice but little touches here and there, I had to replace the headlights with projectors since the stockers are cracked and im poor lol, ebay side plate mounting as well as remove stock front bolt holes in bumper. I alos got a OEM leater shift boot. the car came with white face gauges as well as some APC pedals(I love them easy as hell to heal toe down pretty grippy too), I also installed a crappy ebay grill which sucsk shell out and buy OEM trust me. plans are to add a front lip and get the sideskirts painted to match the car.
Future plans:
I love doing suspension stuff, I belive its where the car really earsn its keeps nting is better then a nice suspension setup, so I will be adding an beaks type R rear swayabar and wil be calling it a day suspension wise, I have ben slowly collecting parts for some b00st too, I have a chipped p28 as well as a saab turbo to get me started.

how much are actual mugen wheels? im thinking 1g and up, thats WAY to high for me.
I never noticed a difference between these and mugen except the center cap.

I dont know what u plan on getting maybe a 16.2 thats the best you will do with a coupe.
Now I will give my blunt opinion.
-That vafc is useless unless your car was put on a dyno and tuned otherwise you are just loosing power. Normally a ricer mod when done like this.
-Should have saved the money from those spark plug wires and used oem since they are good up to 500hp
-That camgear is useless unless you have a camshaft or require something to adjust timing.
-Should have left the power stearing and AC in because it is still slow sorry and u just made it 30 times harder to sell that car in the long run
-Get rid of that ricer breather on your valve cover it isnt good for the motor.
-I think the oil cap is ugly.
-Those pullys can be bad for your motor.
-EDIT ok I see u arent using a vafc and u just wasted more money on a p28 because u have no use for it unless you have some amazing mods down the road that you are putting on.

the breater and the oil cap came with the car, the stock wires were cracking so Ireplacedthem with 45 dollar thicker NGK ones(ngk maes the stock ones these are stock materials but blue and thicker thats it)
the vafc was sold in favor of a p28 and the cam gear is simply prep mods for when I head down to they dyno to jank a little more juice out of my little D.
I sill have all of the ac and PS stuff boxed up in my garage I could ut it back in any time, but since I plan on keeping this car indefinetly I took it out because Iwant as little weight as possible and I like the feel of no PS I HATE how ps gives the car a sloshy feeling, plus Iwill go with a ramhorn manifold for my turbo build so ac needs to leave.

For his entire life i think not. Come on. Back in the day when I was 16 I had a coupe and I didnt even have to pull the ac and ps and ran a 16.2 with bolt ons. It does nothing but loose 40lbs.

Your sir need to read more. Like I said unless you plan on building the block you wont see over 180whp. Go to that link you posted and the OP has a movie on there of a dyno he did and he was at 10psi fully tuned and was only at 175whp. 9 months down the road after that video I saw a post by him looking for a new motor.
EDIT Im sorry you can see over 180whp but dont expect the motor to last long. If you think I am wrong, I am not. My friend was all go getty with his little d16y7 and boost well I know what happened to that motor/

polito is a great guy and he was loking to buy a motor to build on the side while he ran the one on the AFC hac, afc hack is the crappiest way of tuning a car since you cant adjust timing and fule. I will be geting my car dyno tuned with a wideband and an engine microphone to listen for knocking so it will be just as reliable as a stock honda D.

uhh there are plenty of turbo d16's in the 200-230whp range that have lasted a very long time, saying they dont is ignorant and clearly you dont understand nor have the mental capacity to understand that not everything revolves around the beloved b-series...
Looks nice man. I have a silver 00 EX (soon to be electron blue) and also plan on boosting it (Edelbrock kit 176 whp @7psi) right now I'm just saving up my money. Have fun with it and do what YOU want to do with it, don't let others spoil your fun.

yes he did with a gt28r, 200whp is very common for us d-series folks, usually takes around 10psi and you're set. Hell i ran 15 psi on a td05 on my stock d16 for over a year with NO problems before i built it

Yeah your right I’m a moron and ignorant but my nice college honor roll thingy i have say different. I explained that I had a D-series before when I was 16 and I also figured out it was a waste of money. I also think the b series is a waste. Hell I think everything for a car is a waste and I really can’t stress this enough that Hondas are a waste. Yeah your right I’m a moron and ignorant but my nice college honor roll thingy i have say different. I explained that I had a D-series before when I was 16 and I also figured out it was a waste of money. I also think the b series is a waste. Hell I think everything for a car is a waste and I really can’t stress this enough that Hondas are a waste.
