Default accord techs please

alright, i know someones done this. car 91 accord, motor 94ex. alright, heres the deal. motor went in pretty easy. problem is, it wont start. when and IF it starts, it will fire great for like 2 seconds then just run really rough. every sensor is hooked up and as far as i can tell it should b runnin fine. any guesses or something i might need to rewire??? i used the 91 accord harness, runnin the 94 ECU, dist and added the VTEC, and VTEC solenoid wires. weve tried moving the distributor to see if it will fire that way and no luck.

I'm not sure what this means, but it sounds like your ignition wires might be in the wrong firing order.

By running really rough, do you mean misfiring?

running rough like low low RPMs WHEN its running. most of the time it wont run.

Sounds as if the engine is not able to be fueled properly. The injectors may be sticking open because they are running too high of a duty cycle. If you use a 94 VTEC fuel pump, which is higher pressure, it should give enough fuel without over-running the injectors.

well **** today we got it solved, or should i say I did. ****** god damn thing, first there was a spark plug wire crossed, but heres the kicker, the ****** thing was OUT OF GAS. it wasnt near as low as when it left my shop, but yesterday the god damn thing was just bone dry. i do however think the MAP sensor was gettin a wrong reading. well that just means my part was done correctly, hehe. i was paid to install a motor and i did. but if u guys have ever done that, ya kinda feel obligated to get it runnin right.

My favorite is when you parked facing down on a big hill, and you gotta put the car into neutral and let roll down so that biatch starts up so you can make it the gas station...Dave can vouch for that one.

well i dont think it helped that the car was parked facing downhill either. not a steep decline but none the less, prolly didnt help out much.
