Default good deal or what on a type S?

im about to buy a 03 rsx type s for $16,000

no pix so heres the description..

-65,000 miles
-black
-flawless exterior
-injen intake
-dc header
-dc exaust
-he has good maintenece all work done from acura dealership, has paperwork.

i kbb the car it was at around the low 15's but for the bolt ons i believe its alright price.

tell me what you guys think and whad you pay for your type s. (yr,milage)
reason y i want this so bad it has all the correct bolt ons for a reflash #4, so thats what im really interested in. Is 8600 rpm redline gonna hurt, i mean doesnt the reflash tune the engine so 8600 works fine. all input is appreciated.

they dont bring down the value in my head man. I would buy those parts and have to spend the time to install them myself. why not buy it all ready to go? Plus the parts were just put on. how i know? this is my homy im dealing with and i put them on. lol.

well then what are you asking everyone else for? haha That doesnt make any sense... And it has nothing to do with buying parts and what they are worth... When someone has mods on a car its an indication that it has been driven hard which in turns brings down the value... But hey, that just my opinion... Its ur 16k not mine

one thing you need to look at is your insurance... That might end up being more than your car payment

it's not like he has done much to the car. I would give him about 14.5K or so. Good luck

yeah, i am going to have to agree with gm3w12 mods do nothing to car value except bring it down. in the eyes of 99% of people out there it is nothing more of an idication that some one beat the hell out of the car. try to buy a car stock. also 16k seems a bit high for the miles but its your money, and as long as you feel good about it thats all that matters

I might have gotten lucky, but I got my 03 Type S PWP for $15,200 with 35,000 miles on it and it had the Greddy Turbo kit with Front Mount.

IMO mods can either add or take away value from the car. It all depends if the mods are something you want to keep or not. I dont know why people say buy stock cars. At least this guy is honest. Just because it is stock when you buy it does not mean it was stock the entire time the last owner had it. In addition, when cars are modified and then returned to stock they often half *** do things because they plan on selling the car anyway.

You take a risk either way.

I bolded the three for a reason.. Sometimes.. people just need to think a little bit.

#1 65k Miles = Car has been driven/collecting dirt and been washed for a while, couple years at least

#2 Black = Paint swirls, nuff said

Which leads to #3 Flawless Exterior = With #1 and #2 being true, #3 is very unlikely, go look at the car in harsh sunlight ftw.

never buy a car at kbb price , is this private value or wat? , i say keepin lookin , for a few grands more u can get a 05 w/ 25 xxx type s or 03-04 for alot cheaper , plus those dc mods airnt worth the money, i think if u buy this car from ur " homy " u r gon regret it when he drives to ur crib with nicer new car from ur money .

It sounds to me like you know what you want. So why are you asking us about it? If you wanna spend 16k for that car then do it
