98 SH H22A4 block with 97 base model tranny? Anyone know, please read.
Here's the deal. I have a 98 SH block with a 97 base model tranny for my 97 Civic EX swap, engine and tranny (Not bolted together yet because block is sitting on a engine stand). I called a shop to get a quote for the swap and was told that it will not work due to the SH block have some kind of oil port for the ATTS system. They said they did one swap just like I described and it leaked out oil and didn't run right. I looked at my SH block but can't seem to see any oil passage for the ATTS. Any inputs will be appreciated.
If this don't work, I have a freshly built stock 98 SH H22A4 block that will be soon for sale. Thanks in advance.

I believe that there are no provisions for the non-ATTS midshaft to mount to the back of the block. You will need to have a bracket custom fabricated.
Man, I have no idea about this ATTS crap, it sounded greek to me. Can you please explain more in detail. I taught the only difference was the tranny, should have never traded blocks.
In the picture I have circled the midshaft, and also it's mounting bracket. There are no provisions for mounting it on the ATTS block. You will need to fabricate a bracket for it if you want to use that block in a non-ATTS application.

The ATTS unit is self-contained, so there is no oil port for it in the block.
