Default k20 into accord

Jus wondering are you accord guys are swapping in the the k series engines in the place of the h22 and f22. If so could you post some pics and tell me what you think of the swap. Basically is it worth it or not. Thanks!!

The swap wasn't completely done at the time that those pictures were taken. I don't believe they had even started on the wiring... Since then, no one has been able to confirm that it was ever completed.

Just looking at those pictures, and having seen what my engine bay looks like with my k24, you can tell that there just isn't enough room to put the whole k24 in there. First thing you'd have to modify would be the airbox, theres no room for it at all. Idk, I'm no big engine/mechanical genius, but it just doesn't look like there is enough room. Maybe a k20 like the OP said? Or stick with an h22?

They're using a AEM SRI, so you'd have to cut the stock intake tube in half.

Second, if HASport is such a genius with motor mounts for swaps, then how come they could not get this to run?

Plus, in my engine bay, the wheel wells dont jut in as much, and the total length of the engine bay is larger, that looks quite squeezed. Yes they fit in there, but you could say the same thing of some v8 engine right?

no one is gonna use a stock air box when they spend 10,000 putting a K24 into an acord. Hasport couldn't get it to run yet because it TAKES TIME. its one thing for a show on TV that you see for the fabricators to slap on some motor mounts so that the engine will sit in the bay. They have to develop a system which requires as little work as possible. everything is made one-off, and then has to be precisley scrutinized and copied for the production pieces.

How do you know how much time they had spent on the car before the pics were taken?? The project may have just begun. Dont take any credit away from hasports work when you dont know anything for certain.

Does anyone have any current info on the car?

Believe me, I'm not discounting HASports business or mechanical ability or anything of that nature, I know that they are a good company, not from hands-on experience but by "hear-say". I know they are a great company, I was mocking the previous poster. I don't know that I am skilled enough with Honda engines/chassis to make an educated decision on whether or not that car would run, I'm just going from my little experience with cars.
