Engine Buildup Questions? & Suggestions!
Hey guys,
I've taken off of the whole honda scene for about 9 to 10 months now working on my sw20 mr2 turbo. But once my gf broke my driver side mirror and a kid at my school hit my passenger side fender and being as my red paint was fading anyhow. I decided to get it re-paint oem red, and now it looks great and is begging me to get back into it. And i'm very excited.
1st off its 1998' Civic EX Coupe (EJ8 D16Y8 OBD2a).
I've always wanted to go all motor w/ a b-series but i'm leaning towards maybe turboing the d-seires lump in it right now. Am i looking at a waste of time if i decided to keep the d-series? If any turbo d owners are here, Which turbos are commonly used?
Basically i'de like to have fun driving my civic not have an all out 10sec/11sec, barely streetable, & hardly reliably gutted coupe. I'm looking for low 13s or better, full interior, A/C (a must), and EXTREMELY reliable. Is that doable w/ a boosted D16Y8? Or should i go all motor B-series?
Thoughts & Opinions wanted.
Thanks.
-Brian
