Timing light on cam gears??

Default Timing light on cam gears??

What does everyone see when they shine the timing light on the cam gears. Are the 2 nocthes suppose to line up???

just curious. Was bored

You dont put a timing light on cam gears, you put the light on the crank pulley.

X2...and look at the markings that are marked off by the pully.

I was checking my timing last night and for some reason I decided to aim it at the cam gears. no reason.

I imagine you would see light refracting back into your eye.

Seriously though, what did you expect to see? I guess you could see the timing marks if you have adjustable cam gears, but it doesnt mean anything. By the same token, you can also see the adjusting screws too but...it doesnt mean anything.
