Check gas cap warning on cluster
I just got an 06 S2000 and the dealer filled up the tank for me when I bought it. Driving around yesterday the cluster showed a warning to check my gas cap. I checked it and it wasn't even tight. So I tightened it down and it still gives me this warning. Is there something wrong or do I need to drive the car a little more? I've drive about 5 miles since. Any help would be appreciated!
i have an ap1 and when the gas cap isnt tight enough the check engine light comes on, i took it to the deaker the first two times it happened, well they said it would eventually go off, soo i would imagine it will turn off on its own, if you dont want to wait just swing by the dealer and they sould re-set it for free, it only takes about 4 min
i work at a honda dealership, and we just got that on an 06 van, and we had to manually go in a clear the code with the scanner so you might have to do that
