Default headlight Q

ive got a 91 civic hatch and a buddy is selling his headlights from a 89. i know the side markers are different but can i put his headlights in?

I believe, someone confirm, that the only difference is the fram that the head lights sit it...soo if you just swap the housings and not the metal fram around them you would be fine...i think the fram is what makes the side markers mount different

sidemarkers are on the fenders behind the wheels, you're referring to the corner light. i've installed 89 headlights on my 91 and it's the same minus the corner light screws. on the 88-89 fenders, there are two plastic inserts on each fender for the screws to secure the corner light in place. you might be able to find something similar at your local parts store, but it you can't you can switch the frame as stated above too.
