Damn all this encouragement of lame colors!!!
Don't get some lame *** color everybody has, get something that'll stick out and individualize your car.
You go to a meet, count how many black, red, and white CRX's you see.
Now count how many Blade Silver or Tahitian Green Pearl ones.....
Go to the FAQ at the top of the forum and scroll down to general info, go to OEM paint colors w/pics, and pic yourself out a nice color that 90% of ef owners dont rock.

nothing to bright like lime, or extremely bright at least im not reall a fan of that.
but id keep it black because it cost more to paint the door jams and whatnot. so if you paint it something totally different it will look kinda ghey when you open the doors or hood, unless you want to paint al the jams.
or you could do what i did and change the color a little bit, people will know its not factory but wont be able to tell when you open the doors and stuff

well because its black to start w/ you can avoid matching the engine bay, just do the door/hatch jams.
here's mine, electron blue pearl (99-00 Si blue, among others)

meh I think that non matched bay even black looks crappy. You are right some people are into that look.

Not to argue but, black will soak up more of the suns rays causing more heat and making the water evaporate faster. Any other color like white will reflect the sun thus not evaporating the water as fast causing it to rust faster.
Just my observation.
As far as changing color or painting in general goes, it's all about how well the prep work is done. Of course it always helps to have a compatent person shooting the car.
I was thinking about doing a diamond plate pattern on my HF just because the paint looks crappy and I think it would be fun.
Here is a picture of my Jet Ski I did this spring. The diamond plate was super easy too.

on the outside, most of our cars tend to start in a seem where the sunlight can't get to.

Paint it Two Tone Turd Brown like my old 84 Dodge Ram 4x4. You will never know when it's dirty because it already looks like ****!
BTW... This thread is pointless, similar to those threads of "what motor is best in my hatch/sedan/CRX" withoutany sort of starting point or reasonable goal in mind. Who cares what other people think. If you like what you have, leave it black or respray it black. If you want something "flashy" (read RICE), pick up a copy of Lowrider magazine and take a picture of the color you like to a paint shop. I always preferred lime green with chrome-like decals to add that perfect touch of nausea (RICE) to your ride
