Default not a honda, but a 97 sentra 4dr auto problem. Help please.

couple days ago i filled the car up with 2qt of 10w 30 and found out that it needed 5w 30 instead. today i tried starting the car, it would not turn over. it sounds like it wants to turn, but just wouldnt start all the way. i had a new alternator about 6months ago. what would be the problem? fuel pump? oil filter? the wrong motor oil? the car has 146k miles on it. thanks if someone could help me out.

UPDATE as of 8/5/06

oil changed, spark plug checked, fuel pump located but not sure how to check to see if its working out not. friend said its working if we hear ticking, but we didnt. the car started but very weak and died off after starting the car. the spark plugs were checked, they were ok, but could use new ones...plus they smelled very rich. friend said it could also be the fuel filter? help please. thanks.

Oil had nothing to do with the car not starting. Does it seem like a dead batt.? Try jumping it.

Check the plugs but I bet it's the starter.

Have a friend try to start it and see if you can smell/hear/taste anything from the starter.
