Default Manual overide of TC lockup - is it possible?

I'm looking at having a switch on my dashboard so that I can force the torque converter to lock up, looking for better fuel economy. In practice, my TC doesn't lock up as soon as I would like (but it's within spec). To have a switch seems like a good idea to force it when you are out of traffic. There are two solenoid valves on the lock up unit. Does anyone know what each one does, and whether one or both need a current to lock up the TC?

I've found people who have done this on other makes, so at least I know it's possible, but Hondas can be fickle.

It's a '95 Accord btw.
