Default IS hot weather cause for funny starts?

It's been hot this summer where I've been- Daytona, FL, TN, SC, and now it's over 100 here in PA. Just wondering if that would cause the funny starts as follows-
Sometimes I barely touch the 'start' position and the thing starts immediately like it was waiting to start.
Other times I start it but it doesn't stay running and I have to crank some more. I'm always scared that it's dead but it cranks for a couple sec's and starts.

No lights, no indications of any other problems.
Word?

My honda cranks faster than any motor I've driven...2nd crank noise/turn, EVERY time, rediculous, eh?

The stuttering sounds like ur fuel pump isn't fully primed, wait a second in the "on" position until it's done priming, then start...see if it does the same "dying" thing..

As for the fast start...I wouldn't complain about it...

Engine's take longer to start up when they're colder, I don't know why and frankly I don't care, but if that's the case theoretically the opposite should be true for hot engines up to a certain extent (probably around 220deg. F when it's too hot for the engine)...
