Default CUTTING SRS WIRE ON CLUSTER? GOOD OR BAD?

HELLO PEOPLE. I COULDNT RESET THE SRS AND THE ABS LIGHT SO I JUS CUT THE YELLOW WIRE AND THE LIGHTS DID GO OFF AND I WAS JUS WONDERING IF THE YELLOW WIRE IS ANYTHIN ELSE BESIDE THE ABS AND THE SRS LIGHTS? AND IF ITS A GOOD OR BAD THING? PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

yellow wire is SRS only, no ABS on it.

You could of simply unpuged it from the back of the gauge cluster to get rid of the light, but there is a sequence with a jumper that you do to reset it.

yea but when i cut the yellow wire the abs light also went out.. ? iono i couldnt reset it and i did what all the site said and it still didnt wrk and **** so i jus cut the wire. anythin bad bout it?

On 98-01 clusters, the ABS was also on the SRS plug. The yellow wire supplies power to the light.

is that all the yellow wire does? or is there anythin else the yellow wire do? jus makin sure nothin goes wrong

The light only indicates a malfunction with the system. If you unplug it, you won't know if there's anything wrong with it.

if lights wont go away dont cut jus take out the bulb next time
