Default Unknown Suspension Noise (searched)

Well it all happened last weekend (7-26), I was in the wal-mart parking lot and I heard some wierd thumping noise everytime I turned the wheel. Its not a constant thump, I only get like one or two thumps at the most. It sounds like there is something hiting the spring. I went under today to see if I can see anything. With the car jacked up, and can't duplicate the problem. But when I lower it back down it comes back. It almost always happens towards the end of the turn. And only at parking lot speeds. I can also duplicate it at a stand still and turning the steering wheel. I didn't see any signs of damage or anything that would indicate the problem like scratches and so forth. It sounds like its coming from the front suspension, both sides. I have 97 Prelude SH on Bilstien sport shocks and H&R sport springs, on stock wheels.

Anyone else with the same problem, any help would be appreciated.

I have a 99sh and I get a similar thump from my rear suspension when i go over speed bumps.. But im 99% sure that its my struts cause they blown. When you had your car lowered did you trim your bump stops?

Could be the U-joints in your axles or a ball joint somewhere (UCA, LCA, or tie-rod end).

I lowered the car about 6 months ago and there was no noise.

Yeah becasue when I lift the car and turn the wheel the noise is gone. It only does it with the car on the ground.

Take the tires off and look around and see if there is any fresh metal
where it looks like it may be rubbing, look on the inside of your wheels too.
