First pics with new CANNON POWER SHOT
I went out tonight and bought a Canon (yes i know its wrong in the title) Powershot A540, got out the tripod and went out playing. Here are the pics I took from beginning to end, they get better as they go along but any TIPS or HELP would be great on how to get the focus under light better. Thanks!

read the manual. when you're done, read it again- seriously. its one of the best (and most often overlooked) ways of improving your photography. you can't get better until you know how to master the tool that you're using
I began reading the manual, the things i am interested in are shutter speed how slow it has to be to get the continuation of lights from lets say lights of a car going past you to get that laser looking affect and how to set off the aperture for photos

Tip #1: The tripod is your best friend.
Tip #2: A longer shutter speed at night may brighten up the pics a bit.
Tip #3: Red Rota's can make any pic look horrible.
