Need ideas for show!!
Theirs a show coming up, that is a local show, but should have a good turn out, and im need some ideas, just little stuff,im thinking interior stuff... ill be in the mild class....
these are the rules:
"Mild Class: Vehicles are required to have Stock OEM body parts or reproduction parts that imitate the exact fit and look of the car for that year. Vehicles in these classes are also required to have the original frame, undercarriage, engine and factory produced drivetrain. This class will allow a total of FOUR item changes or additions to the car. Any change from the stock OEM appearance, including even a set of spark plug wires will count as one item change. If there are more than four item changes, your car will be classfied in the Wild class."
this is my car..
what are some little things, that will keep a totally oem look?? possibly jdm look?
i have about 200-300 to spend before the show

You already have a few things non-stock. JDM recaros, euro-spec tails, clear corners. I say go with a JDM shift boot if you haven't. Maybe some stuff under the hood like JDM/spoon/mugen oil cap, spoon/mugen radiator cap, spoon/mugen strut tower bar. Spoon springs. Stuff like that.
JDM 0wnz! Don't know if it will score big points with the judges though.
ps: i have Tien RAs

it says 4 non-stock things. i think the only things non-stock that he has are the air spencer, tien suspension and b&m fpr, spoon rear strut bar.....
im pretty sure jdm oem parts still count as oem parts, but check w/ cliff first.
ill give u the stock oil cap off my Si, that will remove the spoon one. put the stock corners back on, and you should be OK.

JDM steering wheel or rims.
The car show people look for items that will make the most chins drop. A nice streering wheel or some nice rims will do the trick. Or maybe a silver or colored window tint. They like stuff like that. Or maybe JDM floor mats, red can. rear seats, etc... Do something that will stand out. Already the car show judges hate type R's. They feel that type R's are boring and to plain or basic. I'm good friends with a lot of show judges and have been in a few shows, plus help various people and teams in shows and the biggest things to do are:
1. Don't use the stock rims (unless something is done to them to make them look different, get rims of them. (IE: paint the rims titanium color like the M5 rims, instead of the gunmeteal rims) or just put some rare or crazy rims on it. Stay away from the stuff thats played out.)
2. stock calipers and rotors are a no, no. They want that CRAZY look. Some killer brake setup always helps. Painited calipers are played out and can loose points now.
3. Get a theme. Don't have tons of themes or colors unless your doing it on purpose. Red stitch theme is a good one. Or a JDM theme (played out), or something new.
4. Engine Bay, make it look unique with little or tons of action going on. Don't go half way, make it dull or really shine. Half way just tells the judges that your not done yet or still working on it. They wont allow a person in progress to win.
5. Interior make it eye catching. A good audio system, seats, steering wheel, etc... are always a plus.
Over all just make the car go bling bling. Its about ALL OR NOTHING with those people. If your car is just like the other type R's or like all the other teg's with type R stuff, then it wont win. JDM is cool, but tons of those people have that stuff. Your seats will help cuz black JDM seats arn't common, plus your front plate is a good eye catcher. The Euro tails are cool also. If you have any questions let me know. I've finally got my car to the perfect show car, however I wont show it due to theft reasons. I got everything covered and more, plus I have tons of tricks up my sleve, plus tons of backing. With the car show scene, 99% of the time its rigged. Most teams are close with the works and judges and haved their friends win or the team win.
