Default apexi N1- a few questions...

Im looking at getting an exhaust for my 94 Si (h23a1) and have my heart set on the Apexi N1. However Ive been on a couple of sites (not forums, but the actual dist./selling sites) that specifically state that the exhaust is for h22 ludes. Do they make an N1 for my Si since its not an h22?
and my other question is, I know the n1 is really loud, but would it sound like **** (raspy/ricey) if it was my only/first power mod?
thanks for your help in advance,
michael

I have it on my 92 Prelude Si with an H22A. It fits fine on my car with no problems at all. I like the tone also.

my answer will actually help
i have the h23 engine from the states
it is a 93 si which is the same engine as yours.
i also have the n1 on my car. it doen't sound too bad but is loud
i have the silencer in right now and it sounds quiet only at idle
under WOT it sound slightly raspy but i'm never behind my car to hear it directly.
the only thing is it hits on my LCA and i havn't tried to fix it yet so you will get a squeak every once and a while.
if you want to take the silencer out it's tough so good luck

do you think if I got a testpipe it would help with raspiness? (that sounds funny, lol)

test pipes increase raspiness. you'd want to get a 14" Magnaflow resonator and have that welded in. Exhaust shop can do that easily and pretty cheaply since it's just two clean cuts to remove 14" of straight pipe and two welds to put the resonator in.

i had an h23 in my si with the apexi n1, and it sounded fine, i cleared out the cat, I didn't think it sounded very raspy though, also, on my car it did not hit the LCA, or anything else. Apexi N1 FTW

any n1 style exhaust will sound loud. just how they are designed. if im not mistaking all ludes had resonator which helps with the raspyness and loud *** pisse doff weedeater noise. i would recommend looking into the rsr exhaust. nice suttle tone no loud ricer noise at wot

That would only make it sound more raspier like a bumblebee on PCP stuck
inside a folgers coffee can.

Get a high flo cat instead.

a lot less rasp than a test pipe or resonator put it that way.

if you're looking for that deep pitched sound you might be better off going with
an apexi world sport exhaust.

Highly recommended! I've had mine on for about 3 weeks now, and LOVE it!

I have a hi-flow cat into the WS cat-back system, which has it's own resinator on it. I've heard of people having issues with just buying the muffler can, so going with the full cat-back should fix you right up.

i want my WS2 to be a LITTLE bit louder, and am wondering if a hi-flow cat will accomplish this

If you just have a stock cat now
I would say a high flo cat would accomplish that.

it actually sounds a bit louder at lower rpms at around 2-3k, when it gets revved into vtec, the sound of my engine pretty much drowns out the sound of the exhaust.
