I know soldering is recommended, but has anyone tried to just twist the wires together?

Yeah them wires see alot of abuse down there, I'd defintly look into getting a soldering iron and some solder. Radio shack has soldering irons for like 5 bucks. Its not hard at all to do, practice on some wires first (like in your house or something) then once you got it down attempt to do it to the sensor. You can find alot of guides online to help learn also. Team Integra might even have one, not sure.
