Default WS-6 firebird vs 95 ex coupe with first gen jdm b16 and 00 si tranny.

What will it take for the civic to win. The race is on for october and i have time and money to do mods to my car. Will an all moter CRVTEC take him or should i look at a turbo. Also, will i have a chance with say a 70 shot of n2o on the stock b16. I know he is putting down 314 hp to the wheels but isn't as good driver as i am. Please tell me i have a chance. I also have all the bolt ons.

The looser has to put, in large letters, I was outrun by a honda/pontiac on the back of their car for a month.

What are the 1/4 mile times for the stock WS-6

not 100% sure yet, but it will be in the atlanta area.
If there is a track in GA that would be to my benefit, let me know.

First it is a WS-6, not a WR-6 and one putting down 314HP is low 13s-high 12s with the right driver.

If you were running a hatch I would say you had a chance but a coupe is way too heavy. You will need some big boost on at least a B18C to even come close.

Look on the bright side - WS-6 Formulas are wicked cars. There is no shame in getting beat by one.

sorry about the typo, so CRVTEC putting down 225 hp have a chance. that is my goal by the end of the summer. maybe even with a little n2o. i dought i will have he money for turbo and turbo takes a lot of tuning. Plus i would have to build the motor to suit.

That could get the job done in an 1800# hatch but not a coupe. Also remember that he may be brewing up a little strong sauce of his own. A 150 shot on that beast will put him deep into the 11s. You won't be getting there unless you tub/fiberglass and pray a lot.

Remember - anything can happen but the odds are not in your favor.

Edit: Just as a point of reference there is a guy here named HX_Guy. I believe he has a B20 with an ITR head and Eagle pistons/rods. On slicks he runs like a 12.98. His car is an HX (as his name implies). I know he is dynoing about 220 at the wheels. You will need more than that IMO.
