I'll be there. Not sure if there are any tickets left..... but subaru dealerships in socal are giving away free tickets to this event. I got mine at Timmon's Subaru in Long Beach.
If Travis P crashes my money is definately on McRae and Grist. Travis drives just like he did when he was racing motocross...all or none. Anyone see McRae/Grist in the '05 season with the Skoda team in that one-off rally. They moved all the way up to third until the mechanics couldnt get the car back together before time ran out.
Ah well...I wish I didnt live in Illinois...Id love to go out there!

alright, well i took a little recon break from work today and went to the home depot center to check out practice.
i got pics and videos of the outside course. but i cannot upload them at the moment.
looking at the layout, the course starts at one end of the stadium, through the dirt and then out and around the stadium, back into the dirt on a second course so it ends after they go aroudn the dirt twice.
the cars looked pretty sick. lots of WRX of course. i have pics of pastrana, richard, and mcrae's cars. there was a little golf out there too.
i was a bit undecided whether i really wanted to go before. im glad i checked out practice. it should be good to watch from the inside, hopefully theyll have the outside camera views on the jumbo tron, or itll be really boring.
take note, PARKING IS GOING TO BE CRAZY! there was barely any parking even today because so much of the parking lot is taken by the track. so get there early i suggest. and the parking spots are TIGHT. so dont bring your nice car if you care about door dings.

On ABC today live at 5:00 PM EST. Come by and check out our pit (#74 Ramana Lagemann driving the one and only Ford in the event :-) Timing and scoring was screwed up, but according to stopwatch times Ramana was the top time on both days of practice, and on day one we were still on gravel alignment settings and beat tires. Yesterday we got the car to turn on the tarmac finally and he was much faster and happier with the car. He has more experience on pavement with karting and road racing than any of these other guys, hopefully it will pay off with a stage win. Keep an eye out!!

McRae's finish was unbelievable. On ABC, all you saw was the car start to roll, a bunch of dust and then a cut to the car driving out of the dust finishing. He would have won had he not been so aggresive on that last section of the dirt course. I couldn't believe the car finished with the front left tire flapping around on the rim.

i think he would have won had he kept his foot in it when it rolled... on the in-car you see itland on it's feet, he sits there for a second, then drives away - it was close enough that he probably could have won had he not paused there.

im glad a lot of other ppl got pretty good view on the rollover than i. i dont think there was really any delay in realtime. just in how it was shown on tv. i uploaded two more interesting videos.

That was awesome. Is there anything Pastrana can't do? Jesus H. I was absolutely amazed at his pace in the "real" stages compared to Colin. He was right that Colin would hand everyone thier *** when it came to tarmac. He was about 1 sec ahead of Travis' time on the tarmac. The roll was crazy and the fact that he landed shiny side up and kept going was awesome. I'm sure the fans were going nuts after that.
Was it me or did Colin look like he was driving on slicks and everyone else was on gravel tires?
While everyone was slipping and sliding around he was sticking like glue. That guy was some serious car control.

No **** travis is a ******* beast. He has some skills. Also a dam double backflip. He has progress the motox world into new levels, since he has entered.
I knew he has been racing in rally for awhile now, looks like he got some people together to bring it to the mainstream which is awesome because rally racers need more credit, since IMO, Is one of the best racing out there, and the hardest out there.
