Default EGR block with jdm p72 obd1 and hondata s300

Will blocking the EGR off trigger any Cels or any other problems ?

Did you remove the whole egr valve and put the plate there or just put a plate under the valve and leave everything hooked up?

i believe with obd I, as long as the egr electronics are hooked up and vacuum lines are hooked up you will not get any cels, with obd II the ecu checks to make sure the egr is actually working and a block off will throw a cel, with a p28/p72, d/b series motors dont have egr so the ecu does not look for it so you could remove it and not get any cels

w/o searching off the top of my head i believe this is what ive read in the past, if im wrong, sorry and someone will correct me

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the P72 ECU does recognize an EGR input. The P28 doesn't.

b/d series motors dont have egr....so a p72 checking for one would be a horrible design flaw
