changing rear brake pads?
alright I've never changed rear discs pads before, so I'm trying to do it on my GF's 90 integra. But I see theres some kinda tensioner to deal with. Anyone give a quick overveiw of what to do or know any page that show a step-by-step maybe ?
Thanks

You shouldn't have to mess with any tensioner. Just unbolt the 2 caliper bolts, swap out the pads (w/ that anti-squeal goo on the backs of the pads), bolt the caliper back up, torque to 16 lb-ft.
Oh, you'll have to use something like a screwdriver or one of those cube-looking caliper tools tools from AutoZone to push the piston back into the caliper so you can fit the caliper back over the new pads.

I used a pocket knife with the blade folded in. A butter knife might work.
BTW, that tensioning mechanism you saw on the back brakes is for the parking brake. Make sure it's released when doing the rear pads and rotors.

There was a how-to discussed in the Integra Type R forum not too long ago with instructions and pics.
I personally like to take the parking brake cable off just to make the job easier. It's one cotter pin, and two 12mm bolts...

reefer.. I actually used to take off the 2 12mm bolts, but recently discovered it is not all that necessary, and keeps me from having to crawl under the car.
