Default b18a1 mechanical vss problem and the car has a limp (ha ha)

For those with b18a1 crx's -- the cable is good leading from the vss to the gauge gluster. the car is also running limp mode. not sure what else there to it when i know have spark and fuel pressure. timing is good as well . the wires to the dist. correct . the coil isnt burnt out because its a whole new dist. (obd0) I've read left and right about the vss signal/amplifier is b16 on the ecu plug for pr4. So the question with all wiring and connections correct -- what else is there to look at ? Any answers from the tech gurus and anyone who would like to contribute are welcome.

( YEs ) after numerous checks on the spark plugs , fuel pressure, ecu plugs, bat connections, fuses under dash , fuses under hood. limp mode sucks!! haha when i first purchase the car for a 1000 with the swap done to it already. I took his probs for cheap and well i fixed two other codes --- 3or5 and 6 well those are gone and then it was the 17 well replaced the broken cable . Finally, where we are at now with still the 17 and the limp.

I've had vss issues and it doesn't do that. It'll keep you out of vtec but that's not the issue here.

i say its the timing not being right.more then likely the cam gears.

go on over to pgmfi.org and read up on what limp mode is and does to your motor and ecu.

I did go there and read up on limp mode -- its a serious problem. Though it sends in the ecu to safety , it still allows you only to get it somewhere and then park till fixed. (sucks) Therefore, I'm handing it over to the car gods.

Vss only stop the Ecu to engage VTech and limiter comes down to 7500, As from my experience,

There is some thing esle wrong with ur car, replace the ECU, to ensure that its not ecu problem
