Default H23 header on F22?

Okay YES I searched but I just want to make sure this is correct before I purchase.

Guy locally said he'd sell me a Chickira header for 20 bucks and it's for an h23. Now I searched and people said it will bolt right up to a F22. I have a F22a1. Already got exhuast and intake, so this will finish the bolt-on stage.

Thanks in advance for any help.

yes it fits just fine.
h23a1 and f22a# series engines share the same exhaust ports.
you can alkso compare the exhaust manifold gaskets at http://www.slhondaparts.com and see they are both 18115-PT0-004

very nice, i stand corrected. so that means technically one could
swap the talon/eclipse junkyard turbo setup on an h23 instead
of the regular f22 junkyard setup.

But you're going to need something bigger than the t25/14b. 20g or bust!

You'll also need to extend the wires for the O2 sensor. H23 is on the bottom by the flexpipe and the F22 is on top

Thanks for the help.

So I'll have to rewire the 02 sensor? Also a Chikira header should bolt onto the stock downpipe right? Or would I have to get it welded?

If your F22 does not have the siamesed exhaust ports the H23 header should bolt to the head. I think you will need to do some modifications further down though... Let us know how it goes!

the only modification ic an think of is there being a very slim chance that the flange for the A pipe to catalytic converter is diffneret, the length is absolutley perfecty the same between 90-93 accords and 92-96 preludes when it comes to the length of the A pipe.

Heres what it looked like when I got it.

After some sanding.. it was a bitch getting that rust off.

Finished product

Also sanded off the logo part to make it silver again.

I'll post results tomorrow.

If I run into a problem with the O2 sensor.. think I could just take it to a shop and have them drill a hole and weld it into a pipe or something?

What are you using for a down pipe (didn't see one pictured so I thought I'd ask)?

for the O2 sensor, just use some 12 gage wire and extend it to the lower O2 plug. (thats what we did) or yes you can just ask a shop to drill a hole. make sure if you do drill, have a plug or something to plug out the O2 hole behind the flex pipe.

Hopefully you have the h23 down pipe, the f22 will not work...

Yeah figured that out the hard way.. Everything looked fine except for the downpipe.

A stock H23 downpipe would work though? Cause I could probably get one for free.

does the stock h23 have a 4-2-1 header? if not, it wont work...well for the f22a1, its a 4-1...

It's all good.. I'm getting the downpipe tomorrow but he says the flexpipe is messed up... All I really need is the flange though.

I got a downpipe from a junkyard, just waiting to install it. Probably just going to take it to a buddy's shop and install everything then cut the old downpipe off then weld the new one.

I'm pretty stoked. I'm thinking I should get atleast 20 more horsepower because of the new downpipe.
