Default Can Someone Tell Me What This Is??

I saw this bike today when i was walking back to work from lunch. I know it is a Bimota so that is one obvious reply gone.

hope the pics work. anyways, definitely not like anything i have seen before and i have been around in my short life. absolutely huge carbon fiber intake and airbox. no real body work to be spoken of, ducati crank case cover, and a Leo Vince what looked to be aftermarket pipe, that was totally under the bike and the exhaust exited near the front tire rather than from the rear.

so if anyone has anymore info please spill the beans.

i work at a luxury car dealer in OC, CA. i see rich and famous people everyday. as i was uploading these pics to my t-mobile account, some guy pulled into our service drive with his new F430 spyder, parked so he was blocking all traffic coming into our drive, jumped out of his car and started yelling for a salesman. all beause he was there to pick up his new M6. guy thinks he is god because he can pay 30k over sticker for a new sports car.

what are some of the cars you've been able to drive? id love to be able to drive that 430</TD></TR></TABLE>there is a list somewhere in GDD that was done a while ago where i listed a few of the top ones out of my memory. i have only driven one sick ride since i have worked here though. and it wasnt even that dope of a car it was just a good time, because i had a salesman ask me to take him for a ride and i was basically told to run a brand new M3 through its paces. and i did, thoroughly. other than that i have driven a few 360 modenas, 1 challenge (which was crazy fun), a 550M, a few of the last model Z06 vette, a few real fast turbo porsches, some real real fast mercedes, an extremely memorable unrestricted SL600 and many many more cars. but lets just say i was in a situation that doesnt come along everyday or ever for that matter, unless you are real rich or real lucky. for one year i was real lucky.

how did you like the 360 compared to the 550? from what ive seen they're pretty comperable in price. ive read that the 550 would have more space for everyday driving, while the 360 is more of a weekend car.

That bike looks like someone mated two ends of a Buell Firebolt together.

Its a Bimota Tesi. After Honda Elf proved that front trailing arm suspension was worthless Bimota decided to make some production bikes on the same principal. This one is a Ducati based one and there was an EXUP one. All crap and expensive as only Italian bikes can be.

the F1 box is sick. although if you dont know how to use it it would be a bitch. and there is no automatic feature available like in BMWs SMG system. i mean unlike manumatics and sport shift and the like, the F1 box does not upshift til you tell it and likewise with downshifts. if you want to downshift too fast and over rev it til she butrns up, go right ahead she will do it. also no matter how fast you think you can shift or power shift or anything of the like, the F1 box is faster. i personally think in some cars i can upshift faster than the SMG and F1 box but the perfect rev matched downshifts in absolutely blows me away. i would either need a 3rd foot or 2nd right arm or both. especially on a track. i mean it literally takes on finger off the wheel to go up or down as many gears as you want, no matter how fast you are traveling or how many Gs you are pulling in a corner. perfect everytime.

so is this Honda Elf, the same bike that was the experimental 2WD machine, or is it something else. i thought that bike was relatively new, not something that would be old tech that would be capitalized on by an Italian leetch.

The technology was from people like Elf racing and others, its not a new concept. Its not 2WD its a means of isolating the suspension from the road. Bimota's are overpriced tat, always have been always will be. If Italians are so clever then why did they use Japenese engines to power their 'Bimota's'

for one, their own R & D = Lotsa dough. And also, the Tesi has a Ducati engine.
