i have a VX and i know the block is same as jdm d15b. I want to put a d15b or d16z6 head on, just want to make sure it's same or are they different?

The heads are pretty much the same, its the block and assemblies (rods, pistons, etc) that are different.

now this is where it's confusing. Everyone says the JDM D15B uses a VX block, but on the swap FAQ, says do not put a d15b/d16z6 head onto a VX block. So what is it?

all d15's with vtec (whether it's vtec or vtec-e) use the same block.
all d15 non vtec's use the same block.
the d15 vtec's use a longer 137mm rod. And the d15non vtec uses a 134mm rod.
d15z1 (vx) is a freakshow. it has ultra deepdish pistons which when paired up to a d16z6 cylinder head or a d15b cylinder head, you'll have ultra low compression.

if all d15's with vtec use same block, why can't you put a jdm d15b head on a d15z1?
