Default 2000 style headlight lense

Alright so Im trying to derice this integra I bought it has the bomex kit.
Want to take the kit off but I have a 2000 integra with a 95 style front, therefore I have the old style headlights.
Now I have a retrofit of Audi A6 h.i.d. projectors in the old style headlights,
My questions is can the lense from the 2000 style lights by any change fit on the old style headlight housings?

I believe it will fit, but I don't know how well it will stay. The 94-97 headlights have a few plastic tabs around the lens, and 4 metal clips that help squeeze the lens and housing together. The 98-01 headlights have more of those plastic tabs, but no metal clips. I would have to put my headlights on my car next to the 94 headlights parts I have in a box somewhere to be sure.

But what you can do is transfer the insides of the headlight into a 2000 headlight housing. Use both the lens and the rear housing from the 2000 headlight but use the inside bracket with your retrofit. That's what I did when I did my retrofit to reduce downtime.

The housing will fit on both 94-97 and 98-01 model integras. The lens is what determines whether it will fit properly on the bumper.

Basically, you will have to swap the clear lenses.

When I did my retro, I used my 94-97 headlight housing and then popped on a 98-01 lens afterwards.

But it will work better if he uses both the lens and the rear housing from the 98+ headlights and swaps over the insides of the headlights.

True. I personally get pissed off with all the screwing you have to do to get the insides out of the aiming bolts. I wish they could have designed it better so you can use a regular 8mm or 10mm socket to adjust the headlights and disassemble. When you use a philips to adjust the headlights, it tears away the plastic and then it makes it really hard to aim.

On the newer headlights you can use a socket. Really though there's not enough room when it's on the car unless you have like an offset ratcheting wrench.
