Default Vt cluster in 88-89 EF

OK I found one post with only two pictures of the finished repined connecters for the VT cluster. My problem is the colours on the wires in that picture don't match to what I have for an 88-89 harness. Has anyone put a VT cluster in an 88-89? I'm assuming the wiring is different between the 90-91 vs 88-89 that might be the issue.

I did find some information is was 50% correct, so I will have to post my findings after I get the cluster working 100% because it seems like no one knows how to do it correctly. And there are two types of Vt clusters so that doesn't help as well.

Any tutorial on swapping in a 90+ cluster will work.

The VT cluster plugs into any 90+CRX without issues.

Hey seti, it the one that you sold chris, the problem is all the pins are different from the 89 to the 90 I've had to trace all the pins from the 89 cluster and match them up to whats on the Vt one. I have basically everything finished, should be able to finish it off this week and I'll post the correct wiring for an 88-89 using the VT cluster.

Oh and just to note the brackets have to be changed, I didn't even notice till I tired it out last week, so I have to head to wreckers and get 90-91 cluster brackets.
