my 90 civic auto, loses power at around 60 mph and throws a cel .it feels like its ignition wise cause it will keep on going its just feels like it falls on its face.it doesnt sputter or nothing it just falls on its face.i stop turn it off and the cel turs off??what do u guys think it is??also when im slowing down the auto tranny feels like it downshifts like a stick tranny.u can feel the gears downshifting what do u guys think???

 

Go for a test drive with the carpet peeled back, when the cel goes on have someone count the flashes, or just don't shut the car off when you get back home.

 

why would u need to peel the carpet back for???not questioning u just want to know why??also when i get home what do i do or whats that for???

To check the number of flashes on the ecu.

 

is there a light bulb down there ?? could u give me a precise location on the flashes or any more information???
