exedy clutch problem
hey guys i have a problem with the R. its all stock besides an intake.
i put in a new exedy stage 1 clutch and had the flywheel resurfaced
and now the car wants to go as soon as the clutch pedal is starting
to be released. there is no more play down there any more is this
normal for an exedy stage 1 ? i also have a 2000 si (b16) with a cheep
stage 1 and is not like this .....please help

I believe this is a common issue with a moderate amount of Exedy installs.
The clutch pedal's free play has to be adjusted. There will be threads on how to do this from other members who have had the same issue.
It involves loosening the nut and twisting the master cylinder's shaft.
For this very reason, I have never used a full Exedy clutch, but just recently installed one...and pray I don't have to do this shiet to get it to work....

Yep, that's pretty much it. You adjust the play in the pedal. Some like it closer to the floor, and others like it up top. It's personal preference really.

if you drove a car that had the exedy clutch/pedal problem, you would call it more than personal preference..

That's not what I was saying though, you can adjust to personal preference.
