err what's u "only" being 17 have to do w/ anything?

I paid full cash for mine w/ no help from anybody..but I was like 3 months passed turned 18, so I guess I'm excluded :-P ?

Hrm, don't take it as a flame, the subtle bragging just hit me, that's all..

That's an EX?, looks like an EX, the DX didn't have the moon roof :-\

Either way, I hope those big plans include dropped suspension and turbo or motor swap, 'cause I'll tell ya right now, the D16's got no torque, 5th gear is useless unless ur doing 65+

I'm not particularly fond of the color, but it's clean, that's what counts..looks like mostly stock too, so you won't have to get around half *** wiring jobs, 40 dollar wal*mart spoilers, and the ebay coilovers :-P

Seriously, if ur gonna do an engine swap, make sure u get coilovers, b/c the stock suspension sux in those things, it's too high, I don't feel safe doing over 100 unless it's on a highway w/ the suspension, jsut feels like the car's going to lose grip/roll :-\

Anyways, that's your call 'cause it's ur car

What are your big plans for it though & how much did u pay for it? Miles?

ok syndicate you could relax a little.... don't have to so harsh on him. expletive weren't you proud when you got your first car and paid it yourself.... let him brag about it. I would rather hear him brag about him paying it himself them him bragging about smoking a Ferrari!!!

To the OP what I would do first is do a major tune up because you really don't know what the previous owner did and didn't do. Next I would get some wheels and tires preferably 15'' with some 195-50-15 and then get some springs and some shock. For shock it depend on what you want I would put some Koni Yellows and for springs well there is so much to choose from. If you have any cash left after that then do some engine work.

Also a good tire to look at would be the Kumho SPT.

Then fix the body and have fun.

Dave

do whatever you feel.

If you repaint to its original color, it'll look nice.

Just takes a lot of time to get everything together.
Good luck on the ride.

Cool, make sure you check out the ej1ownersclub. You can get some good ideas from members over there. I'd look into upgrading the suspension for the first mod, then start on motor after. Since you're 17 and obviously on a budget, I'd stick with all motor. Just drop in something a little bigger like you're saying and you'll have fun.
