anyone have an idea how much shops usually charge to paint a full set of fairings?

Depends on the shop, what color, what kind of paint.... Narrow your variables a little bit.

 

each fairing will be one color.....cbr yellow in the front and the one piece tail section will be black.

no metalic, no pearl...

I went to a shop this mornin and the guy told me they dont do bikes, but they would do it for maybe $1,000.....

 

You could always rattle can it yourself. But expect a shop to charge 500+.

 

empiregp repaired and painted a guy's bike on superhawkforums and I think the final cost was only like $650 but remember that included repairs as well.

 

my room mate and i sanded, bondo'd, wet sanded, rattle canned, and so forth. His bike came out an awesome flat black, and the total cost was less than $30.

i might take it to the college, they paint for $8/hour plus paint.

 

Id say if you want it done right to do it yourself but then again im a painter Anyone can paint though, take your time.

800-1000 range is about right, if its not too complicated u i got mine quoted at 800 for kandy tangerine orange lol
