( Sold the Civic & Bought a Civic ) CHECK OUT MY New Civic Wagon
I finally found a decent wagon. I have been looking hard for a realtime 4WD wagon on stick for roughly 3 months. I had a wagon roughly a year ago and never realized how much I loved the car until I gave it away for free right here on H-T. They are very hard to come by, especially in the northern states. I live in Massachusetts. I picked this car up in Virginia! It was an easy 6.5 hour drive there through the night but a grueling 11 hour drive back through traffic on 95. In the end, it was worth it. This car is amazing.
I got the car for 1800. It may be a lot, but I'v extremely happy with it. Handles pretty well for a wagon.
Heres some pictures.
The car came with the rota-slipstream knockoffs with brand new blizzack snow tires. It also has a ton of new parts such as brakes, clutch, and a few drive-line axles.
It has 168,xxx miles on it. It is very clean. No rust underneath the car nor in the engine bay. The only rust on the car is in the rear quarters. I temporarily took care of the rust by grinding it down and puting 3 coats of POR-15 Paint inside/on the rust. I think I did a good enough job that the rust won't progress for awhile.
My new project (Being that I always need one)...-- I am going to sell my sr20det swap along with about 1k worth of nissan parts. I am going to take some of this money and replace the engine in this wagon. I am going to do a low comp d16 turbo but nothing over 150hp. Just a lower powerband and a torque-ier push during acceleration while retaining honda reliability.
Just 4 the record, Heres a picture of my old DickWagon ( my friends' name for it...) I gave this one away for free in the H-T classifieds.
Thanks for looking at my new wagon!

did you seriously give it away..
or you sold it for cheap, and mean 'gave it away' figuratively speaking?

Hell yea, I gave that wagon away for free last year. Here's the thread. The pics dont work, but is it definately proof.

I had three cars and my Jewish town didn't like that. I had to get rid of it fast and giving it away is always faster than selling it.

Rota knockoffs?
Weird.
Nice wagon though.

So true....especially if its a 1986 Suburu Turbo Wagon....HAHA...AWD donuts in the dunes. Nothing beats $100 cars. The nickname my friends gave it was the "whitetrashmobile".
But, I ould like to see
one of these Honda Wagons done right. SOHC vtec turbo all wheell drive in that wagon would be out of control even with like 7 lbs.

The AWD system can only support 200-220hp. I'v read this on hondacivicwagon.com and it seems to be accepted. I wasn't going to embellish much on my plans ( I don't wanna be THAT GUY..) until I really get things going, but I have everything planned out as far as what I am willing to do.
D-series can be extremely cheap to turbo; so what would hold me back. I remember my b-series turbo being a money pit.
I feel extremely comfortable with the honda motor. Re-building a simple d-series is nothing new to me. The motor will be a d16z6 and most likely some cheap YCP 8.5 comp pistons. These pistons are cheap, but I only hear
. Then a tiny garret .42 trim and a cast manifold. I,ll weld up my own charge pipes (as usual) and use either a 240sx or a dsm intercooler. Once converted to obd1 with a p28 on crome, I'll drop chris a call (xenocron). Again, this I will not push over 150whp from this car. This project should start being peiced together soon.
Sorry to bench-build...

Wow, that wagon makes me Jealous!
I got the wagon bug a while back, funny how different Hondas do that to me every once in a while. I just had to have the 4WD wagon. They are pretty hard to find here in Cali. So I finally found one, but not even CLOSE to the shape that one is in! Mine needs new seats, paint, some body work etc etc.
So Now I have my Hatch and the Wagon (which my wife drives). The hatch is constantly getting something done (supercharger and MSD system are next) and the wagon is smoking like crazy so I have another D16a6 in my living room ready to start the rebuild. But now Ill need another car to make sure we both have something to drive while one of the civics is down. I’ve fallen in love with the Acura legend as of late………..
Anyway, the point is, wagons rock and are super pimp. Very nice example you have!

why not do an HMT setup with a sr20 t25 and adapter plate? Would probably be cheaper that way.
