MC Help
Ok well this is for my DA teg but is pretty much a general Honda questiosn, i posted it in the Teg forum but no seems to know anything in there and I pretty much just hang around here anyways...

After haveing delt with this on a few DAs now I grab a new MC from pep boys and through it in, cool, no fill it up and go to bleed the brakes...the passanger front and drivers rear, no fluid, non, comes out??? the driver front and pass rear are fine bleed them and get the air out everything is cool but pedal still to the floor, pump forever and those to calipers never get fluid??? I tried the bleed on the MC and had some fluid come out and still the 2 calipers nothing...
Anyone have any ideas, I gave up because I was running out of ideas and needed a fresh start on

My next step is to just completely drain the system and fill it again and see if that makes a difference, thanks....Matt

Did you bench bleed the new master cylinder?
You need to get all the air out of it, so you hook up hoses where the brake lines plug in and run them back up into the resovoir, then pump the air out till all you have is fluid in it. Then you cap off where the lines go and install it.
Either that or you have a big *** leak in your break lines. If you start the car and push the breaks do they go to the floor even further?

I didn't bench Bleed it before i installed it but i opened the bolt on the side, I though that was a bleeder and I let some fluid out, but i did this after I bleed the calipers, I though that might be the problem...so if i drain the whole system and try filling it up again do you thing that might solve the problem...
I checked the lines because i was thinking there was a leak but I didn't see any...I hate this car I was only replacing the MC to sell the car to a friend

Yeah, you definitely need to bench bleed it. You probably pumped the air from the master cylinder into the lines now. Just to be safe pull off the master cylinder. Then you need to find a way to run tubes from where the lines plug in, back up into the resovoir. Most master cylinders come with the fittings to pop in so you can do this easily. Once you have those in there just push the piston in and out slowly, and try to pump all the air out, until you see no bubbles. Then install it, then bleed the system. You probably have a TON of air in their now if you didn't bleed it before, so you're going to be bleeding for a long time. But you should eventually get some fluid.
Cool, thanks for the help, sounds like you figured out my problem...I figured i could bleed the air out like normal but then again the MC is going to make a huge air pocket, thanks man i'll bleed them after work today and hopefully that its, thanks...Matt
