If you ever need help and get stuck with something, there are some people here that do actually help and know things. Infact, most of them have a pretty damn good idea what's going on if you provide a detailed enough explanation and bear with them. I've always worked on my own cars because when you go to a mechanic no matter how good they are you're going to get charged some sort of labor that's almost always too much for the job, and I should know... I'm a mechanic.

Learn some stuff on the boards here, get confident enough to work on your own car and have a blast doing it. Just remember to buy a good quality soap for when you're done.

Don't trust anyone to do a good job on your car. Do it right, do it yourself.

I have seen many things screwed up from mechanics and will not let anyone near my car unless they just replace tires.

There are good mechanics everywhere and there are bad mechanics everywhere. Go to some shops or talk to people you feel might be able to do it and go with who you feel comfortable with.

Some people dont have the time, resources, experience and space to do it themselves. Even with honda-tech if something went wrong people would tell them to search, and if they cant find it then what there stuck with a nice expensive paper weight. Some people just need to send there cars off for those reasons.
