Default 1990 civic hatch with b18b

what is a better tranny to use with a stock b18b would the ls or b16? all it has is intake header exhaust and a stage 4 act clutch planning on going turbo but that will be later. i need something for good accel.. just for now cause its not putting out alot of power i have both trannys but trying to decide what one to use.

b16

and that stage 4 clutch will in all likelihood break your pedal assembly

stage 4 clutch is such a waste..For only an intake, header, and exhaust?? Get out of here no need for that...New stock replacement or stage 1 is good enough....

you probably will break the pedal depending on what brand it is since the pedal is so damn weak...

and your leg will look like this after 4 months

Yeah that **** is gonna be hurtin, and stallin out if you suck at driving and buckin hard when you shift, lol...serious though, there is no need for stage 4 unless you full on race like 500hp at least i would imagine or higher.

stage 4 is way to much for ur car. and on the tranny it all depends on future plans if ur gonna boost dont get a b16 tranny. get a ls or gsr tranny. my .02 cents

well im on a budget like most people are. im working on boost and full build hoping for 400 hp i got everything planned but i have a ls tranny and thats what im going to mount when i go turbo i dont think the stage 4 will be to much cause its like a stage 1 race clutch but i would go gsr but i would have to do a cabel to hydro conversion and its a pain so im going ls. I even could put the final gear of the ls in the si tranny and have a six speed but thats just an option
