92 accord Tape deck questions
Hey, i have two questions about a stock tape player in a 4th gen accord
1. The button illumination on one side of the tape player is out so i cant see half the buttons come night time. Is there a way to replace the bulbs in the tape deck? If not, will a 5th gen tape deck match up with my car harness wise/
2. Whats the best way to hook up a subwoofer and amplifier with the stock head unit? i know of a few ways like going through the ignition wire but im sure theres a safer way

Hey, best bet if your planning to run a sub you should get a new headunit. If your really wanna hook it up to your stock headunit you'll need a RCA converter thing. Not sure what the name is. Normally people tap into the rear speakers. You can find alot more information at http://www.installdr.com

A 5th gen and 4th gen should share the same harness, but if you can just go with an aftermarket deck. If you insist on using the oem deck then to wire up the sub use the RCA convertor thing which is called a line output convertor
You pretty much don't. You would have to take the entire thing apart and the bulbs are probably soldered in place, most likely with no part number or any way to figure out what bulb you would need to replace it with. Really more trouble than it's worth. Get an aftermarket stereo, but if you really love the crappy OEM stereo, a 5th gen stock deck should work just fine. The harnesses didn't change until 98 and even then only on some models.
