State ref. ticket last night. Need help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am spending the summer in Cali bought a car here but my liscense is florida and we dont got carb and all that there so i didnt know the rules here. Well anyways I got a ticket last night for my intake and header the cop said there not carb. legal. Im leaving here for good on Aug 11th to go back to work do you guys think i could go to the courthouse and get it thrown out since when i get back home i will change the registration to there? Or am i just pretty much screwd.
The tag and insurance is cali but my liscense is fla and im moving there for good. If i show proof of moving there u think they`ll let it go? I got to reregister it there anyways.

the best bet is to swap in a stock exhaust manifold and stock airbox, all in all it will cost you like 40$?

I'd show up in court, they'll slap ya on the wrist, small fine, just talk to the judge, he'll be reasonable..
Then again...california's like the **** state when it comes to vehicles
no rust, but DAMN do you pay the price
I'll stay here
Was moving my friend's viper from one garage to another, **** didn't have a hood, fenders, bumper, no top....I got pulled over....the cop just told me to get there, in cali they probably woulda shot ur ***

They dont care where your from, its where the cars from and the rules of that. All you have to do is go to the ref with stock parts, show them whats up and then have it signed off. Go to court pay a small fine and your set.

commedian over here
Yeah they can...
It all depends on the state(s) involved, I do know that if u get into some **** in NJ, they can prosecute in NY, has to do with fine print in the penal codes..
Basically they CAN touch you, you're not a foreign UN's son, you don't have diplomatic immunity or anything, you're liable to get a ticket just like the rest of cali, I would just go before the judge, explain your situation to him...at most you'll get hit w/ a fine b/c cali can't add points onto your license since it's florida, if not god knows what they can do, they can call the security administration in florida and put out an APB on you...then you're butt fucked for evading a court date and you'll really get raped in court
Just go there, explain to the judge what's going on, and see what he says, he should be pretty understanding..

Like it's been said, swap in stock parts or parts that are CARB-legal (AEM, Iceman, DC, etc), then you should be all good to go. Since the car is registered in CA, it's subject to CA emmision regulations; no easy way of getting out of that.
they gonna tell u that if u driving in cali u have to know the rules so jjust pay teh ticket or whatever...
