Default Sprung/Un Sprung clutches

What is the difference between a sprung/un sprung clutch.Is one stiffer than the other or what.

One has a sprung center, the other one does not. The one that doesnt has a much harsher engagement than the one with.

the harsher exgaugment can cause premature wear on your transmission. the one with the sprung keeps the shock exgaugment down
