Default Valve Spring question?

Can K20a valve springs be used in our k20z3 motors?

they should, but use the f20 springs (S2000) whihc i think are dirt cheap new from Honda and will handle the load to hit 9k all day long. Should upgrade other internals though if thats the plan.

I am gonna try and do that this weekend and I am just wondering becuase I would like to get some valve springs and retainers and maybe do some port and polish and valve job work to the head while keeping it on stock cams

Why not wait for a header before doing internal work and ripping the motor all appart? See what a good header will do for your gains (i'm sure a lot). Anyways, revving up to 9k wont do anything b/c of the profile of the stock cams that are in the motor...so its pointless. On top of that you dont have any way of tuning an aftermarket set of cams even if you got them. Anyone else agree?

yes they work and as of now without a k-pro or a cam designed for the car they are worthless
