Got new shocks/struts , but there is a problem EF WAGON
so i bought new Gabrial Ultra's for my civic wagon and quickly took them out of their boxes to inspect. 2 shocks came with little ring/tab things that kept the piston compressed in their boxes. the other 2 didn't have the little ring/tab thing so the piston was fully extended in the box.
the two shocks that didn't have the piston compressed don't rebound as fast as the other two. is this normal? do shocks need to build up pressure after usage to function correctly? or are these other two shocks no good. my test was simply pushing the pistons into the floor and watching them rebound.
did search, hard to find the correct words on a search for this topic.
yes, i have posted this on the civic wagon board as well.
thanks
