Default DSS Drive Shaft Shop Axles

IM Ninesecrx with any questions

Level 0 Axles (Factory Style Replacements)
They use a chrome moly center bar and a billet inner c.v. with the oversized tripod. A new heat treating process is also used on the 1117 billet outer c.v. The outer c.v. is made with a single arc design which allows a wear advantage over the factory Honda dual arc design that tends to wear out prematurely. This is a superior axle for any stock replacement or swap. These axles come with green boots and removable ABS ring's. Price listed is for a complete set of left and right. The axles are designed as an alternative to poorly made re-builds and as inexpensive units for swaps. Although these are made superior to stock axles, they are NOT intended for racing use.
Warranty covers manufacturing defects only, no racing coverage
Our price $295 Shipped

Level 2.9 Axles (475whp Forced Induction/AllMotor)
These axles are for the extreme street/track car up to 475WHP forced induction or all motor. They are the result extreme track testing! The inner and center is borrowed from the track tested level 3 system using a new proprietary material and have solid torsional center bars, chrome moly spline plug and high grade inner housings with oversized tripod. What makes this stand apart from the rest is the new outer C.V. made from high grade chrome moly that has one of the wildest heat treats known to man. During destructive testing it broke a 300m bar! It's designed to fit the standard 26 spline size of the Honda/Acura platforms. These axles come with blue boots and removable ABS rings. Price is for both left and right axles.
Our price $670 Shipped (Integra and Civic only)
(Add $50 to above price for Accords, Preludes and RSXs)

Level 3.9 Axle/Hub System (600whp)
Applications for many of the popular Honda civic and Acura Integra’s. Information coming soon...
Our Price $1080 Shipped
(Add $100 if ABS rings are required)

Level 5.9 Axle/Hub System (1000whp)
The new level 5.9 axle/hub set is similar to the previous level 5 system but with a major upgrade, the inner CV. Over the past 2 years, DSS has noticed the system to be very strong but had one fault, the inner CV could become damaged if not handled properly! The higher HP cars seem to have the transmissions changed often. During the swap, the axle was left attached to the transmission but hanging at the wheel (outer in the air). If pressure was put on the outer CV, it would damage the retainer that holds the tripod needles on the inner. Over time the needles would fallout (not good). What DSS has come up with is a new ball & cage inner CV made from high quality chromoly. This inner CV now has 6 contact points and is stronger than the Porsche 930 (108mm) CV (same CV used by many high dollar systems). This along with the 33 spline outer and 36 spline bars makes them the strongest set of axles to date. The system is designed for 1000WHP and any size tire you want to use!
Our Price $1,550 Shipped
(Add $100 if ABS rings are required)

Honda/Acura Rally/Road Race System
This is a specially designed road/rally axle set. DSS has done extensive racetrack testing to bring you these axles. This system is designed for 300HP (not drag). What we have learned is that the parts that DSS makes for drag racing aren’t exactly the right parts for road or rally racing. The parts have to take long-term punishment of heat and stress. What DSS have done is make an axle set directly for road or rally punishment. DSS starts with the chromoly center bar, uses their oversized tripod inner housings and then get a outer CV with a single arch design cage. Factory Acura/Honda design has a dual arch design so every time you turn, the ball goes over a sort of a peak in the ball track making it fail prematurely. Then DSS takes all parts, polish and match them carefully to almost pre-break in state. The end result is smooth movement so there is no heat buildup. DSS then uses a special boot made from a material called Hytrell. This handles the heat better. They use a super high grade synthetic grease designed for the 24 hour Lemans cars. DSS also vents the boots to keep internal and external temps even. Now you can keep your car on the track without worry of parts failures.
Our Price $555 Shipped

Honda S2000 level 2.9 550HP axles
The 2.9 axles are now available! These axles are for the extreme street/track car up to 550HP forced induction or all motor at the wheels. These axles are the result extreme track testing! The inner and center is borrowed from the track tested level 3 system using a new proprietary material and are solid torsional center bars, chrome moly spline plug and high grade inner housings with oversized tripod. What makes this stand apart from the rest is the new outer C.V. made from high grade chrome moly that has one of the wildest heat treats known to man. During destructive testing it broke a 300m bar! It's designed to fit the standard 28 spline size of the Honda/Acura platforms. These axles come with blue boots and removable ABS rings. Price is for both left and right axles.
Our Price $845 shipped

Honda S2000 level 5 rear axle/hub kit (1000HP)
This Is with out a doubt the finest axle system you will find for this car. The larger outer c.v. and center bar (40 and 50%) bolt on inner and ready to go. Good for 1000WHP.
1.Stock S2000 Rear
2.Diff Techniques R200 Conversion
3.Casper Fabrications 8-3/4 Rear
Our Price $1560 shipped

S2000 U-joint Conversion Shaft
This is a replacement shaft for the S2000 platform. The factory shaft has a very small c.v. on each end. The c.v. ends are quite weak and under extreme abuse tend to fail both prematurely and unexpectedly. The shaft has a set of 7075-T6 aluminum plates that convert the shaft over to standard flange mounts for a u-joint style shaft. This along with the DSS shaft enables the system to handle 650whp. The kit comes complete with (2) aluminum conversion plates, shaft and all hardware. When you're serious about your S2000's drive train and its time to take it to the next level remember Driveshaft shop helps you get there
Our Price $615 shipped

Curious about them fixing the inner spider on the 5.9 axles, was this an issue with their models below the 5 series? I'm looking at getting the 3.9's from you guys in spring but that inner spider needles falling apart doesn't sound promising.

The level 3.9's are actually the same as the old level 5's. They are pretty strong. But of course the ball and cage inner of the 5.9 is a big step up!

Hrmm.. is that inner spider clip breaking off a common problem? I'm jsut worried installing them the first time and them breaking on me...

BTW, thanks to your head and block, my car did 484whp/313wtq at 21psi on a mustang dyno the other week

Only way I see issues is when people change the transmission and they leave the axles hanging at a weird angle for a long time. This is rare as well and I would not worry about it. Glad the engine worked out for ya, let me know when you are ready for a set. Keep in mind I used the other axles on my crx racecar making well over 700hp and changed the transmission all the time and never had one break ever.

You would have to send the axles back to DSS because they have to machine the outters to put the ABS rings on, you can not just buy the rings.
