nice R Welcome to H-T.com Clean her up and post some pics

btw, lots of nice dublin R's seem to be popping up lately on H-T. Pretty soon we'll have to look to Ireland and the UK to import JDM ITR's j/k lol.

believe it or not my jdm in cork was €13,000 (euros) you'd pick it up in dublin for about a grand cheaper.

What's up with all the new Irish ITR owners lately? Did something just change over there?

Nice car BTW, little dirty but that's the way she likes it. Just read up on the "what all new ITR owners should know" thread.

back in the late 80's, Irish car dealers began buying used jdm cars at the auctions in japan & importing them into Ireland,to start with these were mostly taxi's etc
however at the moment all that seems to be coming in is dc2/ek9&4/eg/r32,r33&r34/s13&14&15/rx7/vzr/dc5&ep3/ae86,ae101&ae111
the reason the 2nd hand market is booming is because the irish government introduced a ''vehicle registration tax'' as the tax is calculated as a percentage of the cars current value it makes the higher spec jdm cars very good value for money,
an irish ep3R will set you back €36,000(197bhp) inc. vrt
'98 dc2R could be got for around €12,000 inc. vrt
