Default checking cel with out cluster

is there any other way to check for cel without having a cluster..building a budget racecar and really dont want to use the cluster anymore but will be using the stock harness and fuse boxes..using a p28 with hondata s200

any help will be great.....

I want to know this too, i was thinking about wiring a small Led tot he ecu pinout and put it in my dash, but Im not sure.
