Default Engine Misfire at low speed acceleration

Checked the plugs, cap, rotor, wires, i got new o2 sensors, new fuel filter. It didnt start doing this until recently. i even switched back to the original cap and rotor and wires and it still misses at low speed accel. it seems to run fine in top end though...can someone help me please..i dont know what else to check. also i dont think my check engine light works or the whole obd2 system is stupid because i can pull a spark plug wire off and the CEL light doesnt come on...how odd.

*update* if i floor it in any gear it misses the whole entire power band pretty much especially 2nd, 3rd, 4th

injectors?... fuel pump? my first guess is the injectors

oh yea also... did u replace your plugs or wires, just cuz you checked them doesnt mean they are good

yeah i replaced the spark plugs twice...3 different sets...same problem. so that rules those out. i had removed the secondary o2 sensor for a short time because the way the o2 bung is placed on my cat makes the sensor face towards the ground....removed it and no check engine light came on(i dont think my obd2 system is working right) and then it drove fine for a day or so like that...then it started missing a little bit..not as much as its doing now....SO then i put the sensor back in and its acting worse...

i think the fuel issue can be ruled out because it drives normal except for when i get on it...

Sounds simple but try re-checking your spark plug wires on the dizzy. I had a huge misfire, rough idle and ended up having #2 and #3 wires switched around.

Something to check.

It's your ignition coil. It's about $85 from Advance Auto and it's a super common issue with our cars.

I'm assuming the symptoms go something like this:

When I go from a dead start the car has a rapid-studder until it hits 2500-3500ish RPM and then the car is normal. If when I shift the RPM falls below that threshold, it'll studder again until it's eclipsed. In the high RPM it drives normally. It's just below 2500-3500 RPM that the issue is happening.

the car only does this during WOT/half-3/4 throttle in any gear..i ohm checked the wires....checked the map sensor voltage...checked IAT voltage(i had a code for some reason) i checked the coil(replaced the coil) i ohms checked the injectors..all read the same....all my problems started whenever i removed the secondary o2 sensor...left it out for a day or so...and then put it back in whenever it started messing up...and now it still is messing up. CAR RAN FINE BEFORE I DID THIS...

i got this weird thing that started recently after o2 sensor heater wire got disconnected. i replaced tha o2 sensor altogether and it still does it. but what happens is, at WOT and in VTEC, tha car has a bad detonatin' (or misfirin') sound. tha car barely wants to move forward. i have an aftermarket exhaust so when this happens, all you hear is a lot of poppin' sound. that hodlin' back feelin' almost feels like i'm drivin' with tha e-brakes up. i don't think i'm in any sort of limp-mode as there are no CEL codes.

what to look for?

holy shiet! i checked a few things out on my engine after i washed it. checked dip stick. i was really low on oil. tha very tip of it barely touched any oil. i have no clue how i suddenly lost all that oil after recently doin' an oil change. no spots on tha cardborad beneath my car either or on tha chassis' undercarriage. no black smoke either. i also checked tha timing belt. my timing was retarded down to 12 when it should have been at 16. it's really odd how all this happened just suddenly. i'll follow-up to this. i was also told by a referee that he recommended NGK plugs over my Denso's since i was runnin' high on CO2 when i went to get BAR'd. well, at least i know my new cat' and new Denso o2 sensor worked out well. my NOx was really low. i'll follow-up to my ignition problem.

ok, i checked tha gap on my plugs, and they're too spec'. i set timing from 12* to 15*/16*. tha problem is still there. however, it does run noticeably better, but it still pops and still has a little drag (holding back feeling) to it. there's a lot of loose sounds (sort of rattle/clanking) comin' from tha block.

i'm really goin' to have to pull tha head off to inspec tha pistons & rods. i need to do this anyway. i have oil comin' out of where my head gasket is. ughh...
