Did anybody have to special order their SI??? I went to the dealership yesterday and of course they didnt have one on the lot....but said one would be here in about a month so i went ahead and did my papers and put down my deposit. Well the one that was alreayd coming is a red one with no navi and i want the black with navi so they said they'd look around at the other honda dealerships to trade for it.......how long do you think this would take and would it be hard to find? Because i really dont want to wait forever, but I dont want to settle for another color because i really want it in black.

 

I had to settle for my car because i needed a car in a week... no exceptions.

Don't settle for anything but what you want if you can help it

 

yeah ive just been reading that for some people its going to take 3 months...theres no way i want to wait that long....but i REALLY want a black si because the interior is black and red...and it matches my dc

i am so not sleeping for the next month

yes i had to order my SI i just put a deposite down this week they said its going to take atleast 3 month's. I got a Night Hawk Black Pearl with HFP Body KIt all around, Fog lights, Auto dim mirror, Ipod connector, and navi cant wait for it to arrive.

 

ordered my fiji blue Si w/ navi in December and picked it up in march

 

i really hope it doesnt take that long...but i figured black is a popular color...so it shouldnt take too long to find another dealership with one to trade for....i hope

i really didnt like to the lip kit....but im prob going to pick up the ipod connector and foglights after i get it lol sucks cause i just bought a $350 alpine ipod unit and 5zigen rims i cant use on it but oh well i think i have driven my husband crazy cause i cant stop takling about it.....hes outside right now taking off the turbo kit on the ek so itll be ready to trade

 

I got lucky, I ordered mine and it's only taking a month and a half. I'm getting the first 07 off the line, late August early September. The wait is killing me.

i didnt even think about buying the 07...are the prices the same? mines only costing 22,000......the only thing their changing is that the 07's have traction control right?

trade... thats gonna be hard 1)most si get sold before it hit the lot 2)they wont go thruogh all that when they can sale the car in no time 3) and if they got one with navi they wont trade for one w/o navi....I have a Habi, i wanted white my dealer try to trade and they call over 5 other dealer and they wont do it but maybe/hope better luck with you

they have to go through all that because i already put a downpayment on it so they cant sell it to anyone else anyways. but hopefully things go as planned...i dont see why they just cant order one from honda for me

 

hopefully buying a house in the next few months and its an expense that i can live without......

 

I was going to the dealer to reserve mine and they had one on the lot. I originally told my Internet Manager I did not want this specific color. He told me that didn't have any on the lot that met what I wanted (the only honest dealer I talked to). When I saw the color in person, I changed my mind. It looks really sweet with the black interior and red sticking. So, I bought it. I was going to have to wait 2 weeks for the black Si. Dealers in my area only get 1-2 a month. That is why sometimes there is a 3 month waiting list.

can they install navi at the dealer? cause the habi they are getting does not have it...and i was thinking of adding the lip kit too

i just talked to my salesman...he said they're pretty confident that can find one to trade for...but if not ill go with the fiji blue or something....because the habi thats coming in does have navi...but i think im gonna scrounge up for the lip kit...i thought it was ugly at first on the honda site but i think it really looks good on everyones cars.

 

Habi defintely looks better in person. I didn't like the color fromt he website either. When I saw it in person, I had to have it.

The dealer probably could do the install, but it would cost alot more.

i called and they said it has to be done at the factory but he was pretty sure he could get the one i wanted....i hope they hurry im tired of driving my ex but i need to hurry up and strip it of parts....i want the lip kit now too....do they roll options like that in the car payment or do you have to pay for those out of pocket?

 

I am glad they can at least give you a good estimate on how long it will take. Usually, they right within a couple days of the delivery timeframe.

They can roll that into your financing with the deal, but you have to work it out on the purchase date. Maybe you can negotiate the aero kit price down.

maybe haha the salesman keeps trying to talk me into a black ex with navi...im like "dude its not about the navi...." hes old so i dont think he gets why the si is so special. plus i think he wants his money now lol not in a month cause i know he wont get paid for the sale until i get it lol

 

Threaten him to go somewhere else if he keeps on. Never sign any contract before getting the car. I work in financing so I know alot about it and have seen some messed up things dealers do to trick you. He should know that. What a freakin retard. You may try talking to the manager above him about what he is doing. Something isn't right there.

Yeah, he obviously doesn't understand your wants and needs if he is trying to get you into an EX.
