Mugen style front bumper questions
Anyone rocking this JDM style mugen front on their hatch? If so, how's the quality/fitment?

Also, how difficult is it to mount one of these bumpers at home with the proper tools? I don't have much bodyshop experience beyond spraying a hood and set of fenders once. Just wondering because I now have a great deal of potential for changing the looks of my hatch as some sort of furry creature took out a portion of my front end the other night
. Was thinking something along the lines of...mugen front, EG skirts that flare out to accent the bumper, and perhaps a Si rear lip. Don't really want to rock the full kit though.
Thanks in advance!

I think if you go with that bumper you should probally put the rest of the ww kit on. Just my opinion.
As far as install, Its the same as puttin on a stock bumper, however you might have to drill out holes for the screws

So basically I don't ditch my bumper support but instead screw the bumper on like OEM? Sounds pretty decently easy. Just need to mount up, measure four times, then drill.
If this is so, then why do so many people with WW/mugen style kits have so many fitment problems? Sorry not that I'm a disbeliever, it just seems kind of hard to believe that it's that easy to mount the front bumper with so many misaligned WW/mugen kits out there. Any fiberglassing or whatnot required to help with the fit?
Thanks again!

As far as i know, the Mugen replica made by Vis will require a JDM hood, fenders, headlights, radiator suport thing, and don't know if i missed anything else. If you get WW front it fits US models.
There are not many kits that fit good. Most kit or bumper needs to be fucked around with in order to get a decent fit. The WW for the hatch fits like crap cause it has a nice gap under the headlights.
All I know is that I've never seen a body-kit bumper that even came close to fitting right. I've seen my friend install about 10 kits at his shop (all kinds of different cars and different sources for the kits), and they ALL needed to be modded, cut, built up, fiberglassed, you name it. If you want it to look and hang straight, you should be prepared to spend up to a couple hundred dollars to have an experienced body guy install it.
