Default Help! clutch pedal sinks to the floor and wont go back up!

i have a 1994 Del Sol. this morning i tried to drive my car but it wouldnt shift into gear when i depressed the clutch pedal. so i looked into clutch master resivoir and found it needed new fluid cuz it was dark. started to bleed the clutch master cylinder by loosening the bleed screw and then i put some new fluid into clutch cylinder, went to depress the clutch pedal but all it did was sink down to the floor and it did not go back up. i filled up the clutch system but the pedal wont move. I cant put the car into any gears. please help. any suggestions will help.

you have a bad master cylinder and needs to be replaced.

It is a good practice to replace both the master and slave cylinders at the same time as preventative maintenance. Typically, when one goes bad, the other will **** the bed shortly thereafter.

Yep the manual says that a pedal that goes to the floor can be caused by Master Cylinder, Slave Cylinder or throwout bearing or damaged shift fork.

Can also be caused by air in your system. I just had my run-in on hydro tranny's last week after my engine swap on an accord wagon.
